Carlos Gillig is a veteran of the tattoo and body piercing world, with decades of experience rooted in the foundations of the industry in Portugal. He started practicing at just 15 years old in 1991, coming up in a time where the scene was raw and unregulated.

With a no-compromise approach to safety, hygiene and professionalism, Gillig stands for doing things the right way. As one of the founders of the Taruaduerex and Body Piercing Association in Portugal, he has been a consistent voice for higher standards, pushing for proper practices that protect both the craft and the people behind it.
